ELIZABETHAN LIVING HISTORY
October 28 @ 11:30 am - October 29 @ 4:30 pm
Renowned for the authenticity of their demonstrations, our wonderful reenactors and historians transport you back in time to the Tudor Age where they abandon modern comforts and live as people did when Queen Elizabeth I was alive.
There will be a wide range of displays and activities sure to enthral adults and children alike. In the gardens our ‘Gentlemen of the Manor’ will demonstrate how real muskets were used and fired. If you’re interested in seeing something just as deadly by without the bang then don’t miss the traditional archery displays that take place on the lawns.
Inside the Hall, the ladies of the kitchen will reveal the secrets of historic cookery to the making of herbal medicines. In the Great chamber will be music recitals and dancing while in many of the other rooms you will find costumed characters ready to show off their skills in ancient games and locating secret chambers. Join us for a full weekend of merriment and mystery.
Your last chance to visit the Hall before it begins to wind down for winter.
